This type of environment represents the scenario where standalone navigation and battery efficiency matter most:

Offline navigation, route following, GPS recording and off-route alerts remained available throughout the activity. The measured battery use also fell within the developer estimate of approximately 4–5% per hour for Expedition Mode.
